Who are 'The Way Forward 2045'?
Founded in 2020 by Wendy White-Finnigan, TWF2045 provides an accredited climate change training programme, quality on-the-ground shopping and tourism experiences.
With people and planet in mind, their vision and aims are focused on eight of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, addressing: Good Health & Wellbeing, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Clean Water & Sanitation, Affordable & Clean Energy, Decent Work & Economic Growth, Sustainable CIties & Communities, and Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions.

Carbon Literacy Training Programme
Through our unique accredited training programme, we aim to support you address the wicked problem of climate change, whether that be across your business, your community or as an individual. Through our peer-to-peer facilitated approach, we debunk myths and probe deeper under the bonnet of greenwashing; we provide the space for you to drive organisational and behavioural change.
Our programme is robust and highly adaptable, designed exclusively with businesses in mind. Each cohort session is tailored to address the unique challenges and pinch points of the organisation while alinging with the demands of sustainability-focused suppply chains. We actively encourage businesses to involve their supply chain partners, customers and stakeholders in the cohort, ensuring alignment and amplyfying impact across networks.
With new legislation increasingly prioritizing sustainability, the cascading effects will significantly affect SMEs. Our training empowers organisations to not only navigate these changes but to take a proactive, leadership-driven approach to embedding sustainable practices, building resilience, and making a lasting difference.

Founder
The Way Forward 2045 was founded by Wendy Pring, who is also its circular architect. Wendy is interested in effectively integrating activities related to wellbeing and the circular economy into organisations. Wendy, a Chartered Civil Engineer with extensive waste industry expertise, approaches circular waste with a complete system, and problem-solving perspective.
Wendy’s calm, cheerful, down-to-earth, and helpful demeanour has become the signature of The Way Forward 2045 and flows through our veins, whether she is teaching at the university or balancing a growing business and family. Wendy has many years of experience in sustainable environmental solutions throughout Scotland, and her enthusiasm and knowledge have been the driving force behind our business.
Why TWF2045?
With all of the alternatives and information available on the internet, we are led to believe that sustainability is out of reach. However, when alternatives and viewpoints expand, it is easy for confusion to set in, and it may become increasingly difficult to know which direction to turn and who to believe.
After all, your time is valuable, and you want to get it perfect, right? We hope that as you read this, you have already become enthusiastic and motivated to engage with us! But, of course, doing a good job entails much more than just collecting cool trip images. There are several reasons why we are excited about TWF 2045, and we’d like to make them clearer to you.
